Fareast Mold utilizes the Finite Element software
package from Mold flow to simulate the complex of injection molded
polymer melts. Data collated is interpreted and used to predict
and eliminate potential molding problems prior to the cutting of
steel. Analysis modules available are: Flow - When used from the
outset we are able to provide customers design departments with
the necessary insight and knowledge of how molten polymer flows
through the part cavity. By suggesting alternative design options
in combination with material selection and processing conditions
evaluate, assist and optimize the design for the injection-molded
process. Flow simulations determine; optimal gate location(s). Optimized
runner system; predict weld lines, identify air traps, determine
sheer stress, determines fill time, confidence of fill, clamping
force, melt temperature, gate freeze time, packing time and pressure.
A. Manufacturing
The production line is split into several cellular manufacturing
units. Each cell has its own cell leader who is responsible for
the production plan, raw material, sampling, and cell members and
of cause the quality and inspection by his team of each job running.
Products are manufactured and delivered to their production line
straight from the cell daily. The benefits of separating one huge
line of mold machines into several manufacturing cells have been
enormous. Customer lead times have been cut due to a dramatic reduction
of work in progress. Customer complaints have dropped to a record
low, as you would expect from cells dedicated to particular materials,
products or customers. Such benefits have recently attracted major
companies in the tumble dryer and electronic machine guard industries.
Needless to say all our customers are benefiting from these working
practices.
